Hi, my name is Hady Bayan, I am 19 years old, and I have been studying at Montmorency College. In the first two semesters, I was in springboard option prerequisites. Now I am at my fourth session, and I am studying Social Science, Commerce. I have created this glossary for people in the same field of study who would like to learn new words related to my field. There will be 20 field-related terms and definitions that are likely to be useful. I would like to help the people who were struggling like me when I have started college in this field.

- The responsibility for and control of a company or organization.
- Example: The hotel is under new management.

- A commercial business.
- Example: Although my farm is relatively small I still think that it is important to manage the business as thoroughly as a large public COMPANY would be managed, for this way every aspect of the farm will be examined and any inefficient areas of production will be highlighted.

- The action or process of keeping financial accounts.
- Example: In terms of ACCOUNTING and cash-flow analysis the most important decisions to be made are at what point revenue and expenditure are recognized.

- noun
- Property owned by a person or company, regarded as having value and available to meet debts, commitments, or legacies.
- Example: Additionally, companies can offset any gains (or losses) on an ASSET with a similar loss (or gain) on the derivative used as a hedge.

- Provide with money for a particular purpose.
- Example: The money used to FUND the project comes from here and therefore a tangible return will be sought.

- Money paid regularly at a particular rate for the use of money lent, or for delaying the repayment of a debt.
- Example: The respondents noted that low levels of farmer co-operation lie in: lack of the team spirit and mutual trust (52.5%), lack of leader (7.5%), lack of knowledge as to the running of the enterprise (7.5%), lack of INTEREST and finally lack of substantial financial benefits (both 7.5%).

- A thing that is borrowed, especially a sum of money that is expected to be paid back with interest.
- Example: A bank LOAN also increased the overall cash flow available for the company's use.

- noun
- A company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law.
- Example: The pairs of total amount of repurchase and of dividends for total firms Thus, in order to understand how the firms choose one method over another, the assay will especially focus on the potential motives behind firms to distribute its retained earnings via dividends or stock repurchases. 2 Dividends Policy A dividend is a cash payment made by the CORPORATION to its common share holders pro rata.

- Example: The fact that there was greater demand for loadable funds created a "crowding out effect" whereby interest rates rose, making the cost of borrowing more expensive for ENTREPRENEURS and businesses.

- An association of two or more people as partners.
- Example: A strategic PARTNERSHIP with Microsoft was formed guaranteeing continued development of products like Office and Internet Explorer.

- noun
- An authorization granted by a government or company to an individual or group enabling them to carry out specified commercial activities, e.g., providing a broadcasting service or acting as an agent for a company's products.
- Example: S is Disney animated movies. A second example of a legal barrier to entry is the awarding of an exclusive FRANCHISE to serve a market. A good recent example of this is Virgin trains buying the FRANCHISE to cross-country rail services after privatisation of the national rail network in Britain.

- The action of buying and selling goods and services.
- Example: It means I can trade you a good or service for an intermediate store of value known as money, and then trade that money to the person who actually has the goods I want.

- The selling of goods in large quantities to be retailed by others.
- Example: However, although small amendments have been made, it remains to be seen whether the SGP will ultimately succeed without WHOLESALE changes.

- Wealth in the form of money or other assets owned by a person or organization or available or contributed for a particular purpose such as starting a company or investing.
- Example: It is because those companies are large in scale and low cost CAPITAL will be available.

- A statement of the assets, liabilities, and capital of a business or other organization at a particular point in time, detailing the balance of income and expenditure over the preceding period.
- Example: The rules require companies to assign current market values to the interest-rate swaps, options, and other derivatives they hold and to reflect any changes in their value on the BALANCE SHEET.

- The sale of goods to the public in relatively small quantities for use or consumption rather than for resale.
- Example: The RETAIL stores take their average mark up of 34.75%, as the average RETAIL price is $282.

- One of the equal parts into which a company's capital is divided, entitling the holder to a proportion of the profits.
- Example: We were each given shares of stock, fully paid for, that would provide substantial dividends for future years.

- A micro-enterprise is generally defined as a small business employing nine people or fewer, and having a balance sheet or turnover less than a certain amount.
- Example: During his time as director, INFOP focused on teaching Hondurans different careers in different areas, such as Beauty stylist or becoming the owner of a micro enterprise.

- A company whose shares are traded freely on a stock exchange.
- Example: However, a public company must obtain in addition a trading certificate from the Registrar before it may commence trading.
